The College of Engineering conducted a training workshop on the use of the Rubric assessment tool and feedback, presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Uday Bashir Issa from the Electrical Engineering Department.

The workshop aimed to introduce Rubrics and how to build a network of criteria, levels, and classes to conduct formative assessment professionally, in accordance with the Bologna Process requirements. The workshop also covered the use of e-learning management platforms and their capabilities for creating Rubrics in the task and assignment evaluation process. Furthermore, the workshop addressed the use of artificial intelligence tools for this purpose.

The workshop included a detailed explanation of using Rubrics in the continuous improvement process for accreditation, according to the Iraqi Council for Engineering Education and ABET requirements. Practical examples were provided on how to achieve the learning outcomes of courses in educational programs.
