The College of Engineering at the University of Basrah held a seminar entitled “The Status and Importance of University Students in Community Development.”

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Basrah, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kadhim, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Professor Dr. Mufeed Turki Rashid, the Human Rights Unit at the College of Engineering held a seminar entitled “The Status and Importance of University Students in Community Development.”

The seminar was presented by Assistant Lecturer Tuqa Aboud Mohsen, who addressed the pivotal role that university students play in building and developing society. She emphasized the importance of developing their academic and social awareness and the necessity of enhancing their scientific and intellectual capabilities to contribute to preparing a conscious generation capable of facing challenges and contributing to achieving sustainable development.

The seminar was attended by a number of students and faculty members and included fruitful scientific discussions that emphasized the importance of supporting and empowering young talent in various fields, in line with the aspirations of academic institutions to serve the community.
