The College of Engineering at the University of Basrah held a joint exam for Soil Mechanics II for third-year students (semester system), with the participation of several private universities and colleges, namely Shatt Al-Arab University, Al-Maqal University, and Iraq University College.

The exam was conducted under the supervision of joint scientific committees and with direct oversight from the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Mufeed Turki Rashid, and the Head of the Civil Engineering Department, Professor Dr. Hisham Taha Yassin. The academic standards adopted by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research were strictly adhered to, ensuring fairness and equal opportunities for all students.

The Dean's office confirmed that the exam was well-organized, with all necessary resources provided for its success. The Dean's office also noted that the exam questions were comprehensive and covered all course material.

This joint exam is part of an effort to strengthen scientific cooperation between public and private universities and to standardize academic evaluation criteria.
