The College of Engineering at the University of Basra held a meeting of the Industrial Advisory Council for the Department of Architectural Engineering. The meeting was attended by faculty members and representatives from engineering firms and related companies, and aimed to strengthen cooperation between the academic institution and the business sector.

The meeting addressed ways to develop curricula to align with labor market demands and explored mechanisms to support students with practical skills and experience. This will contribute to producing graduates capable of keeping pace with advancements in the field of architectural design.

Attendees also discussed the importance of involving the private sector in supporting the educational process through field training and knowledge exchange. Furthermore, they addressed the challenges facing graduates in the job market and ways to overcome them.
