The President of the University of Basrah honored a number of faculty members from the College of Engineering in recognition of their distinguished efforts in supporting the university's progress and achieving international rankings, as well as developing its technological infrastructure and e-learning.

This honor came on the occasion of the University of Basrah achieving second place among Iraqi universities in the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI), in appreciation of the active role played by those honored in this achievement.

Those honored included:

* Dr. Uday Bashir Issa, Director of the Ibn Sina Center for E-Learning

* Dr. Hisham Latif Sawadi, Director of the Information and Communications Technology Center

* Dr. Ammar Jassim Dakhel, Head of the International Rankings Committee

* Dr. Zaher Mohammed Naji, Head of the International Rankings Division

This recognition affirms the university administration's commitment to supporting academic and administrative talent that contributes to enhancing the University of Basrah's standing both locally and internationally
