The College of Engineering at the University of Basrah welcomed the ministerial committee tasked with assessing the academic standing of engineering colleges within the third geographical region. The meeting was attended by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Mufeed Turki Rashid, and Dr. Ammar Jassim Dakhel, Head of the International Rankings Committee at the University of Basrah.
During their visit, the committee toured the college's facilities, including classrooms and engineering laboratories, as well as the educational and administrative services provided to students. The purpose of the visit was to evaluate the academic environment, assess the quality of education, and determine the extent to which quality standards and academic accreditation are met.
The committee also held a meeting with the college's Quality Committee. During this meeting, they discussed the evaluation form and the criteria used in the academic review process, and reviewed the procedures implemented to improve educational and research performance and enhance the services provided to students.
The committee commended the College of Engineering's efforts in developing the educational environment and strengthening quality standards. They expressed their satisfaction with the organization and the academic and laboratory facilities they observed, which contribute to supporting and elevating the level of engineering education.
