The College of Engineering at the University of Basra continued its Laboratory and Chemical Safety (CBRN) course for postgraduate students. The second day of the course featured a scientific lecture delivered by Dr. Shaimaa Mahdi Shuaib.

The lecture covered several topics related to laboratory safety procedures and the safe handling of chemicals. It also addressed the risks associated with chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear materials and methods of protection against them. This contributes to enhancing a culture of safety among postgraduate students during their research and laboratory experiments.

This course is part of the College of Engineering's commitment to developing the scientific and practical skills of postgraduate students and preparing them to work in safe laboratory environments according to approved standards.
