The College of Engineering at the University of Basra, in cooperation with the Career Development and Employment Division and Delta Engineering Company, held a workshop entitled “Basic HSE Workshop,” as part of its efforts to promote a culture of occupational safety and develop the skills of students and graduates in this field.

The workshop addressed several important topics, including an introduction to the concept of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), mechanisms for identifying and assessing risks, emergency response procedures, the importance of using personal protective equipment (PPE), and a review of safe work practices that contribute to reducing risks and creating a safe working environment.

The workshop witnessed active participation from attendees, as it aimed to raise awareness of the importance of applying health and safety standards in workplaces and to provide participants with the essential knowledge that enhances their readiness to integrate into the job market according to best professional practices.
