A delegation from the College of Engineering at the University of Basra, headed by the Dean, Professor Dr. Mufeed Turki Rashid, visited the Basra Provincial Council, where they were received by the Chairman of the Council's Security Committee, Dr. Aqeel Talib Al-Fariji.

During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the College of Engineering and the local government, contributing to the support of engineering and service projects and meeting the needs of the province. They also discussed prospects for coordination in areas of mutual interest.

Dr. Al-Fariji expressed his appreciation for the academic and scientific role played by the College of Engineering, commending its efforts in serving the community and supporting government institutions with engineering expertise and consultations.

At the end of the visit, the Dean of the College of Engineering presented a plaque of appreciation to Dr. Aqeel Talib Al-Fariji in recognition of his continuous support for the college and his prompt response to its needs, emphasizing the importance of continued cooperation to serve the development process in Basra Governorate.
