The College of Engineering at the University of Basra monitors the summer training of mechanical engineering students at the General Company for Southern Fertilizer Industries

As part of the Mechanical Engineering Department's commitment to supporting its students' practical training and enhancing the applied aspects of the educational process, the Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Raad Jamal Jassim, visited the General Company for Southern Fertilizer Industries to observe the progress of the department's summer training.

During the visit, Dr. Jassim met with several trainees and listened to explanations of the nature of the work and technical tasks they are undertaking. He emphasized the importance of utilizing the summer training period to develop engineering skills and gain practical experience, which contributes to preparing qualified engineers for the job market.

He also commended the company's management and engineering staff for their cooperation in providing a suitable training environment for the students, appreciating their role in supporting the practical aspects and linking academic knowledge with industrial applications.

This visit is part of the ongoing monitoring program implemented by the Mechanical Engineering Department to ensure the smooth progress of student training and to confirm the achievement of the desired educational and training objectives.
