The College of Engineering at the University of Basra, represented by the Department of Mechatronics Engineering, held a dialogue session entitled “Leadership, Shaping the Future, and Sustainable Development” as part of the MechaTech Summer School activities. The session, held in the college's conference hall, featured a distinguished group of academics, professionals, and specialists.
The session, moderated by Professor Dr. Ali Ahmed Abdul, included presentations on several scientific and intellectual topics, addressing leadership concepts, exchanging experiences and ideas, anticipating future needs, and discussing the role of innovation and technology in achieving sustainable development and enhancing academic and professional growth.
The program included two dialogue sessions featuring Dr. Haider Dawood Al-Mukhtar, Dr. Siar Jawad Al-Dabouni, Professor Nawwar Al-Silawi, Engineer Hamed Mohammed Hassan, Engineer Hussam Al-Qatrani, and Dr. Nawras Aref. The event also included presentations of two success stories by Engineer Wiam Karim and Programmer Mohammed Emad, and concluded with the distribution of certificates of appreciation to the participants.
This event comes as part of the College of Engineering's commitment to fostering a culture of dialogue and knowledge exchange, developing students' leadership skills, and strengthening their connection to the demands of the job market and the future, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals.
