The College of Engineering at the University of Basra discussed prospects for joint cooperation with the American company Emerson, aiming to strengthen the partnership between the two parties and align engineering education outcomes with labor market demands.

The meeting addressed ways to collaborate in training the college's students and graduates by providing practical training opportunities that contribute to developing their technical and professional skills, in accordance with the needs of the industrial sector.

The two sides also discussed the possibility of providing job opportunities for engineering graduates at Emerson, which would support the development of national engineering talent and open new horizons for graduates to enter specialized work environments. They also explored future cooperation opportunities in areas of mutual interest.
