A faculty member at the College of Engineering, University of Basrah, receives a certificate of appreciation at NURAI 2026.

Assistant Professor Dr. Uday Bashir Issa, a faculty member at the College of Engineering, University of Basrah, received a certificate of appreciation for his supervision of the Advanced Solutions – University of Basrah team participating in NURAI 2026, the National University Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Applications Championship.

The award recognizes his efforts in supervising the team, which presented a distinguished project entitled "Designing a Robot to Monitor and Analyze Gaseous Emissions in Oil Fields Using Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision, Contributing to Enhancing Monitoring and Safety Procedures in Oil Environments."

The committee commended the efforts made in supporting the students and contributing to the project's development, emphasizing the importance of employing modern technologies and artificial intelligence to provide innovative solutions to engineering and industrial challenges.
