The College of Engineering at the University of Basra received a specialized ministerial committee to explore the possibility of establishing a PhD program in Materials Engineering at the college.
The visit was part of an ongoing effort to assess the requirements for establishing postgraduate studies and to review the scientific and academic capabilities, infrastructure, laboratories, and equipment available at the college, as well as the teaching staff and relevant scientific disciplines.
During the visit, the committee toured several laboratories, lecture halls, and scientific facilities. They also discussed with the college dean and relevant academic authorities the requirements and standards necessary for establishing the program, aiming to provide a suitable academic and research environment for postgraduate students.
The college affirmed its commitment to fulfilling the necessary academic and scientific requirements, thereby enhancing postgraduate programs and supporting scientific research and engineering disciplines at the University of Basra.
