Professor Dr. Mufid Turki Rashid, Dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Basrah, attended the reception hosted by the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Basrah to mark the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

The Dean’s participation was in response to an invitation from the Consulate General and took place alongside various academic and official figures, as well as representatives from diverse institutions and entities in Basrah Governorate.

This event serves to strengthen the bonds of cooperation and relations between the Republic of Iraq and the People's Republic of China—particularly in academic, scientific, and cultural fields—thereby fostering communication and collaboration between Iraqi and Chinese institutions.
