The College of Engineering at the University of Basrah held an introductory seminar for students regarding the Erasmus program, which is sponsored by the European Union. The seminar highlighted the significance of the program, emphasizing the promising opportunities it offers students for academic and cultural exchange with European universities—including research visits, postgraduate studies, and partnerships with international institutions. The session outlined the application process, the necessary requirements, and the documentation students must provide. It also offered a comprehensive overview of the benefits, financial grants, and exemptions available to successful applicants.

The seminar was moderated by Dr. Hamid Hayab Samir, the Erasmus liaison for the College of Engineering, who encouraged students to seize this valuable opportunity and submit their scholarship applications by the specified deadline. At the conclusion of the session, students’ questions and comments regarding the program were addressed.
