The Mechatronics Engineering Department, in collaboration with the Computer Engineering Department at the College of Engineering, University of Basrah, held an awareness seminar titled "Women’s Health and Endometriosis" on Wednesday, October 21, 2026. The event was attended by female students, faculty members, and staff from both departments.

The seminar was presented by Dr. Fai Saud Al-Sayyab, a specialist in obstetrics, gynecology, and endometriosis. She addressed several key topics related to women’s health, including the importance of regular medical check-ups, an overview of endometriosis—its causes and symptoms—as well as diagnostic methods, treatment options, and the significance of early detection.

The session also included a Q&A segment, where attendees’ questions regarding women’s health were addressed. The initiative aimed to promote health awareness and medical literacy among students and staff, encouraging them to prioritize their well-being and seek professional medical care when necessary.
