A specialized training course on occupational safety has commenced at the College of Engineering, University of Basrah. The course is organized in collaboration with Al-Houshan Company for Training and Engineering Inspection, the College’s Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Division, and the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Student Chapter at the University of Basrah.

The course aims to foster a culture of occupational safety among participants and to enhance their skills and knowledge regarding safety procedures and hazard prevention within engineering and industrial work environments. This initiative contributes to preparing qualified engineering professionals who possess the expertise and awareness required by the labor market.

This course is part of the College of Engineering’s ongoing efforts to strengthen partnerships with specialized institutions and companies, and to provide students with practical training and professional development opportunities that align with the evolving demands of the labor market.
