University of Basrah won the Times Award in the field of excellence and innovation in the arts, as it achieved first place in the ranking of Asian universities.

The University of Basrah scored excellence in the project (Child's Smile), which was held in cooperation with the Directorate of Education of Basrah Governorate to develop children's abilities through various artistic works to deal with the effects of displacement and overcome psychological crises.

It is worth noting that University of Basrah is ahead of Asian universities such as (Beijing Normal University), (Zhejiang University of Communications) and (Hamad Bin Khalifa University) in the award section.
