The College of Engineering at the University of Basrah organized an electronic course entitled (The Corrosion Phenomenon in Paint Used in Oil Tanks)

The course presented by Assist. Prof. Dr. Haider Hadi Jassim, lecturer, addressed the most important corrosive elements that are present in crude oil and affect the corrosion processes in oil tanks and pipelines transporting crude oil in general. The proportions of these elements were also indicated in the crude oil fields in Basrah, southern Iraq. The most important metals used in the construction and construction of oil reservoirs in southern Iraq were also discussed.

The course aims to identify the main elements and environmental conditions that affect coatings damage and their resistance to crude oil conditions.
