University of Basrah holds a signing ceremony for student training contracts with Basra Gas Company

The University of Basrah, in cooperation with the Basra Gas Company, held a ceremony to sign training contracts for students of the third stage in the College of Engineering, in order to train them during the summer vacation in the company, based on the memorandum of understanding signed between the two parties.

The Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Ramzy Salim Ali, stated that the goal of the celebration is to sign training contracts for fifty students from the College of Engineering for the third stage and train them in the Basra Gas Company within the systematic training period. He added that it was agreed to provide the Refractories Laboratory in the Mechanical Engineering Department with a steam boiler for the purpose of benefiting It is for undergraduate and postgraduate students

The Director General of the Basra Gas Company, Malcolm Mays, stated that the memorandum of understanding with the University of Basra in order to strengthen relations between the two parties, indicating that the agreement aims to provide additional support in the field of Education and Training This trend comes within the framework of seeking to provide future opportunities for our students to develop their learning abilities and skills and to give them the appropriate training they need.

He added that cooperation is continuing with University of Basrah and the College of Engineering, and the top students in the College of Engineering will be rewarded by the company for the following scientific departments: Electrical Engineering Department, Mechanical Engineering Department and Chemical Engineering Department for the top students for each stage.
