B. SC. Graduation project entitled (Design and manufacture of an electric submersible pump)

The student Hussein Saber Matar, in the Department of Petroleum Engineering, the fourth stage, presented a graduation project entitled (Design and Manufacture of an Electric Submersible Pump) under the supervision of Professor Ahmed Ali Shanshoul and Dr. Salam Abdel Qader, teachers at the College of Engineering
The project dealt with a practical and theoretical study
In the first part, the practical part, a cross section of the earth’s layers was designed after the excavation process, which included the arrangement of the layers in ascending order (water, oil, cover rocks, accumulated sedimentary rocks, groundwater and soil).
Well liner, cement, electric submersible pump, output pipe, Christmas tree and outflow pipe
Where the electric pump pulls the oil from the place where the oil flows through the production pipe down to the Christmas tree and then to the flow lines down to the insulators
In the theoretical part, electric submersible pumps for multiple fields were designed using oil programs from the prosper software and real data.
The student Hussein Sabr added, “The theoretical part may be a source for preliminary studies after it has been fully audited, as it contains a study of the parts of the electric submersible pump and a complete analysis of its problems.”
