The College of Engineering in the University of Basra held a workshop entitled Destructive Tests

The workshop , implemented by Dr. Mortadha Abbas Jabbar, and Mr. Muhammad Yaqoub Youssef, introduced  the theoretical basis of the destructive tests and the most important approved standard specifications of these tests to familiarize participants with the importance of these tests in industry to ensure quality. The workshop also focused on  the practical side. The participants' training included preparing standard forms and approved standard methods for conducting the tests. As for the tests or examinations that are covered during the course, they are analyzing the chemical composition of minerals, a tensile test, a shock test and examining the microscopic composition of minerals.

The aim of the workshop is to train a group of technical personnel of Dhi Qar Oil Company to work in engineering testing laboratories.
