The College of Engineering at the University of Basrah has achieved advanced positions in the national classification for the year 2021

Where the Department of Computer Engineering ranked first on the corresponding departments in Iraqi universities out of 14 scientific departments.

The Department of Materials Engineering also ranked second on the Departments of Materials Engineering in Iraqi universities out of 5 scientific departments.

The Department of Electrical Engineering ranked third on the departments within the best three departments out of the 15 scientific departments in Iraqi universities.

In addition, the Department of Architectural engineering ranked fourth on the corresponding departments out of 15 scientific departments.And Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Maath Mohammad, Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs, indicated that the College of Engineering is continuing to achieve advanced positions and maintain the lead through all scientific and administrative activities, scientific research and community service. And the Deanship of the College continues to support the scientific departments by supplying laboratories with laboratory equipment, increasing the number of college research in international containers, and paying attention to the university environment and the college infrastructure.
