The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Engineering at the University of Basrah held a development course entitled (API tank inspection system, tank maintenance and causes of failure 653).

The course delivered by Dr. Rahim Khazal Masawil, a lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, dealt with introducing the participants to the tank inspection and maintenance system according to API No. 653 specifications, as well as the causes of failure and ways to avoid them. The course included the specializations of the Department of Mechanical, Chemical and Welding Engineering

The aim of these development courses is to develop the capabilities of the participants and develop their capabilities.
