The College of Engineering at the University of Basrah, in cooperation with the Rehabilitation and Employment Division, participated in the Design Day competition held by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the First International Conference for Manpower Development in cooperation with the American IREX and the American Embassy in Baghdad for the period 12-13/12/2018, where a group of students from the Engineering Department participated Electrical Engineering in the College of Engineering with a project and they got the first place and the project was under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Jawad Radi Mahmoud and the participating students (Arkan Mezher, Jihan Shaker, Esraa Ramzi, Muhammad Radi, Qassem Ramadan) and the project (Industrial Applications Based Teaching Platform for Engineering), which is a platform for teaching students of the College of Engineering, developing their skills, transferring experience to them, and motivating them by finding realistic solutions Due to the problems faced by the labor sector, the project was nominated to participate in the top 10 projects at the level of all Iraqi universities. It was highly accepted by the attendees, investors and company owners.
