Dr. Ali Amin Abdul-Jabbar, in cooperation with Dr. Haider Miri Hamza at the University of Al-Qadisiyah and Professor Adrian Burch at Cardiff University in the United Kingdom, conducted a research entitled (Double Microstrip Correction of Liquid Characterization) Double Microstrip Microfluidic Sensor for Temperature Correction of Liquid Characterization
It was published in a magazine
IEEE Microwave and Wireless Components Letters
Abdul-Jabbar explained in his work that a microwave sensor was designed and built to diagnose the fluids used in the capillary channels, and it has the ability to diagnose the measurements of those fluids in case the ambient temperature changes. The sensor consists of two resonant circuits connected in parallel with the same input and output. This design was achieved by using a microstrip synthesis to construct a half-wavelength resonant circuit. The sensor was tested using water, where the water was tested and the compound permittivity was measured for the temperature change range from 21°C to 39°C. The results showed a great agreement between the measured values of water permittivity and the theoretical values after carrying out the proposed correction process
