The College of Engineering at the University of Basrah participated in the Iraqi Universities Championship for Table Tennis and Chess, which is hosted by the University of Basrah. Where the student Riyadh Abdul Latif Habash from the Department of Civil Engineering represented the University of Basrah table tennis team, and in the chess team of the University of Basrah, the student Kadhem Abdul Amir Nabhan from the Department of Chemical Engineering and Student Sally Abbas from the Department of Mechanical Engineering
And the head of the delegation at the University of Basrah, Assistant Professor Dr. Nassar Ismail, said that the participating teams in the chess tournament are 40 universities for male teams and 12 universities for female teams.
