A master's thesis in the College of Engineering at the University of Basrah discussed (thermal economic analysis and application evaluation of solar boilers for thermal power plants in the city of Basra, Iraq). The thesis presented by the student Muhammad Shaker Abd Study two main parts. In the first part, a thermoeconomic analysis was carried out for a simple steam power plant with different boiler pressures. The analysis includes the energy, exergy, entropy, and economics of using the exergy of a plant For simple cycle steam power station pressure various boilers. The analysis was performed for a steam power plant Simple, steady energy The other part of the research, the steam boiler was replaced Solar boiler consisting of several rows of PTC (parabolic trough collector) of type LS3 and a thermal fluid was used to heat water in a heat exchanger as a second fluid. Heat exchangers are used to heat water and convert it into steam which is then fed into a turbine The thesis aims at thermal economic analysis and application evaluation of solar boilers for thermal power plants I got the message Depending on the radiation intensity for the sixth month, it was from (0.1096 to 0.0764 dollars / kW) for stations from 10 to 100 bars. When the pressure is increased from 10 to 100 bar, the CO2 emission decreased by 33.61%, the thermal efficiency increased by 47.1%, and the Electricity cost of 3.55% in a fossil fuel-fired electric power plant.
