The College of Engineering at the University of Basrah held a cultural symposium on (the role of religion in human life)
The symposium presented by Ayatollah Hadi Al-Modarrisi dealt with
Defining religion and the extent of its impact on human life, as it showed that religion alone makes a person feel calm and stable, so he reconciles with existence, and feels harmony and consistency with it, and this is one of the most important functions that religion performs in human life, in which the soul transcends, the spirit elevates, and conscience is refined, and through it man realizes life philosophy, knows its worth; Religion is the one that provides man with comfortable answers to everything that goes on in his mind.
Just as religion came to regulate all aspects of life, such as man’s relationship with his Lord, and his relationship with others, so that religion did not neglect man’s relationship with himself . And put in place laws that guarantee a safe and stable life for people
He also referred during it to the controls of connection with God Almighty, the ethical and educational foundations that must govern the relationship between members of educational institutions, especially students, and the need to adhere to Islamic teachings that would build a generation of believers committed to the teachings of the value system in Islam.
