A Researcher at the University of Basrah publishes research in a Swiss journal

Prof. Dr. Ghaida Abdel Razzaq Al-Suhail, teaching at the College of Engineering at the University of Basrah, in collaboration with post graduate student Raneen Imad Luqman, conducted a research entitled
AFB-GPSR: Adaptive Beaconing Strategy Based on Fuzzy Logic Scheme for Geographical Routing in a Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET)
In the journal (computation) of the publishing house (MDPI)
It is classified as Clarivate and Scopus Q2 containers.
The research included: Proposing an adaptive alerting signal strategy based on fuzzy logic (AFB) instead of fixed (periodic) alerting technology in order to improve the geographical routing performance protocol GPSR in ad hoc networks (MANET). The new protocol is called AFB-GPSR, and adopts the new technology in Dynamic environments with sudden and rapid changes in the movement of nodes or mobile devices in the network.
The results indicated that the new strategy with the geographical protocol (GPSR) achieves better performance than the well-known traditional protocols and modern protocols in terms of routing burden, data packet delivery rate, throughput, and time delay.
