 Professor Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi and under the supervision of the Chairman of the Scientific Promotions Committee at the University of Basrah, Prof. Dr. Hussein Odeh Hashem Al-Nour, in cooperation with the Center for Development and Continuing Education, the College of Engineering at the University of Basrah hosted a workshop entitled Examining and Auditing Scientific Journals Submitted for Scientific Promotion
The workshop was chaired by the Chairman of the Central Scientific Promotions Committee, Prof. Dr. Hussein Al-Nour, Prof. Dr. Basil Abdel Zahra Abbas and Prof. Dr. Tahseen Ali Saki.
The workshop addressed the most important issues facing a teacher or researcher applying for academic promotion in terms of research schedules, scientific activity, and administrative tasks and how to ensure the reliability of scientific journals in terms of scientific sobriety and their reliability in terms of specialty.
The scientific promotion committees in the colleges of the University of Basrah, in addition to a group of professors, participated in the workshop.
