The Department of Architectural Engineering, fourth stage, at the College of Engineering at the University of Basra, organized a scientific visit to the Safwan region, where the Safwan auction was chosen as part of the first project for the architectural design subject for the current academic year, with the aim of developing the auction and preparing appropriate architectural designs that elevate the project to be a commercial area in an important and economic city like the city of Basra. The visit aims to evaluate the reality of the auction, choose a suitable location for it, and learn about the events and activities at the site in order to prepare preliminary studies for the project, evaluate the problems, and come up with conclusions that lead to appropriate design ideas. The visit was accompanied by the teaching staff for the fourth stage, and it also included a visit to the Sanam Mountain area.
