The President of the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, opened the computer laboratory in the College of Engineering, Department of Architectural Engineering, in the presence of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Professor Dr. Mufid Turki Rashid, where the laboratory was rehabilitated by installing secondary ceilings, painting the walls, changing the furniture, installing screens, and creating a special room for the laboratory administrator. In addition to increasing the laboratory’s capacity with the aim of accommodating the increasing number of students, the laboratory was also equipped with new advanced computers to suit the nature of architectural study and the programs required by architectural work in terms of speed, accuracy and presentation.
