On Tuesday morning, corresponding to 7/9/2024, competitive exams were launched for applicants for postgraduate studies (master’s and doctoral) at the College of Engineering at the University of Basra for scientific departments, including mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, and chemical engineering, and for master’s and doctoral studies, under the direct supervision of the Deanship of the College of Engineering, represented by Mr. Dean. College of Engineering, Professor Dr. Mufid Turki Rashid, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Mounir Abdel Jalil Ismail, and Director of Graduate Studies, Dr. Osama Jassim Naeem, where they inspected the examination halls, and were informed of the conduct of competitive examinations, the nature of the questions, the performance of the participating students, and their answers.
During their inspection tour, they emphasized adherence to the instructions issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research regarding competitive exams and work to complete the process successfully and facilitate all obstacles for the students being examined, who numbered 75 students. They praised the efforts made by the scientific subcommittees in receiving applicants and emphasizing the Organizing and adhering to exam timings and overcoming obstacles facing students.
