College of Engineering at the University of Basra Evaluation of a seminar entitled The Importance of Summer Training:

The College of Engineering at the University of Basra, Department of Petroleum Engineering, organized a seminar entitled The Importance of Summer Training, with the attendance of the Head of the Petroleum Department, Dr. Hisham Kazim Hashim, and the lecturer Nour Hatem and a group of students from the department.

The seminar, in which the lecturer Nour Hatem lectured, included the importance of summer training, as summer training is an essential part of the graduation requirements that the student must pass successfully. The training period is 4 weeks, which gives the student the opportunity to develop knowledge and applied skills. It also allows the student to link theoretical study with practical reality, which in turn helps the student to accept the nature of the work and adapt to it and develop communication skills with others. Helping individuals improve, develop and grow their experiences, skills and abilities and increase their information, and the goal may also be to change or modify their behavior or attitude to emphasize the positive aspects of work. The goal of training is to enhance students' individual learning skills and provide an opportunity to interact and cooperate with trainers with experience in the field of work. It gives students a high level of positive feeling and satisfaction towards the profession. It helps the student understand the needs and characteristics of the environment in which he is supposed to work. The importance of field training is best explained by identifying its advantages.
