The College of Engineering, University of Basra, Department of Mechanical Engineering, held an introductory seminar for first-year students. The seminar included reading verses from the Holy Quran, reading Surat Al-Fatihah for the souls of the martyrs of Iraq, and listening to the national anthem. It also included a speech by the Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Dr. Hassanein Ibrahim, and directives for the Bologna track and the specializations of the mechanical engineer, A workshop by the plastic engineer Khansa Al-Diraawi and a poetry segment for first-year students
and a group photo.
