The College of Engineering, University of Basra, holds a Quranic forum on the occasion of the blessed month of Ramadan (Spring of the Qur'an)

Under the patronage of the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Mufid Turki Rashid, and in cooperation with the South Cultural Center, represented by its director, Sheikh Raad Al-Bahili, and in coordination with the Department of Student Activities at the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Engineering held a Quranic forum on the occasion of the blessed month of Ramadan (Spring of the Qur'an) and with the participation of a group of minstrels and readers of the Holy Quran from the Islamic Republic of Iran; Al-Hafiz Dr. Muhammad Mahdi Haq. And Al-Hafiz Sayyid Ali Al-Murtazawi. And the continental professor Ahmed Reda Askari. And the Islamic vocalist Sayyid Muhammad al-Husseini. In the presence of Sheikh Raad Al-Bahili, Director of the South Cultural Center, the forum was attended by the Dean for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mounir Abdul Jalil Ismail, Dr. Ihsan Nazim Jawad, a number of heads of departments, professors and a group of students. Where Dr. Ihsan Nazim Al-Jazaery gave an opening speech in which he highlighted the importance and sanctity of the Holy Quran and its role in refining souls and Muslim behaviors, saying: We have hosted in this forum a group of singers, readers and memorizers of the Koran from the Islamic Republic of Iran.
