The Department of Computer Engineering held a specialized workshop entitled Soft robotics
It included three lectures by professors specialized in the field of flexible robotics from the Department of Computer Engineering.
Where Dr. Louay Ali Al-Abeej explained how to move from a rigid robot to a flexible robot by providing the required parts and the mechanism for their manufacture, and Dr. Alaa Falah Al-Abadi showed how to move to manufacturing flexible robots, and Dr. Hassanein Shaker Al-Faham presented flexible robots that were manufactured for use in natural medical treatments.
The workshop was attended by many professors and students from the University of Basrah and other Iraqi and foreign universities, led by the Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Ramy Salim Al-Waeli, who praised the preparation of this workshop and called for other similar specialized workshops to be held in the departments of the College of Engineering because of their scientific interaction and interventions by the attendees, the thing that matures and develops ideas and puts them in the path of progress
The workshop was managed by Dr. Muhammad Al-Abadi, Head of the Computer Engineering Department, and Dr. Ali Ahmed, representing ACM, Iraq Chapter.
