Under the patronage of the President of the University of Basrah, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Ramyi Salim Ali
The Department of Architecture at the College of Engineering at the University of Basrah held discussions for the graduation projects for the fifth stage
During which students’ projects were discussed and presented that dealt with various architectural designs to complete the graduation requirements. The importance of these projects lies in linking the theoretical part with practical practice after graduation.
Dr. Tahseen Ali Majid Al-Azzawi, a lecturer in the Department of Architecture, indicated that graduation projects are limited to specific areas and topics. Topics are usually chosen either by professors or students according to a set of controls and factors, including the extent of the project’s need, so that it touches a specific reality or keeps pace with developments in the contemporary world, while being careful not to repeat the topics in the following years.
The project begins with two parts, the theoretical part, which is the preparation of an integrated program for this project, in which the components and areas of the project are defined
The practical aspect is to provide designs, plans and clips for the project during several stages
The first stage is the presentation of plans and interfaces for the project, the second stage is the pre-final project and the last is the final presentation of the project.
The project is discussed by a committee of the department's professors to discuss the graduation projects submitted by the students of the department, as this project is considered one of the largest projects submitted by the student during his academic life.
