Prof. Dr. Faleh Mahdi Moussa and Dr. Donia Star Taher and Prof. Dr. Ramzy Salim Ali, the teaching staff at the College of Engineering at the University of Basrah, conducted a scientific research in the Electronics magazine, which is considered one of the most reputable international scientific journals with a high impact factor of 2.397IF = 2.397 in the MDPI publishing house. titled:

"A New Optimization Algorithm Based on the Fungi Kingdom Expansion Behavior for Antenna Applications"

The research includes presenting a new algorithm to calculate the optimal solutions for electrical engineering applications in general and communications engineering in particular by modeling the behavior of the spread of fungi with mathematical equations and then programming and applying them to the formation of antennas to obtain radiation patterns as desired. Also, the algorithm was successfully applied to the formation of military antennas for the purpose of completely canceling the intended interference from the hostile segments.
