The Department of Chemical Engineering in the College of Engineering at the University of Basrah carried out a rehabilitation and maintenance campaign that included the rehabilitation and opening of Hall No. 3 in the department with the rehabilitation and operation of the heat exchanger in the heat transfer laboratory, the rehabilitation and maintenance of the breaking point determination device and the water bath device in the oil refinery laboratory, Rehabilitation and maintenance of the computer lab, maintenance and rehabilitation of WC. facilities for the students of the department, which included removing floors, replacing and restoring sewage networks, and re-tiling bathrooms.

A computer laboratory for graduate students was also opened in the Industrial Units Laboratory.
