The workshop opened with verses from the Holy Quran, the national anthem and the reading of Surat Al-Fatihah on the souls of the martyrs of Iraq, in addition to an art painting entitled I am the son of the martyr for the students of Al-Hanan Primary School for Girls
Among the administrative assistant dean d. Basem Talib Kazem, one of the supervisors in the Preparatory Committee, said that the workshop was held with the participation of the most prominent experts in addition to the relevant governmental institutions and members of the central local government to discuss the issue of water in Basrah Governorate. The workshop, which was held under the slogan (With the blood of the martyrs, we write the future of Iraq), aims to review the most important technical measures and legal measures taken by the central and local government, and to clarify the role of the relevant institutions and the role of the judiciary to prevent a recurrence of the problem of lack of water releases in Basrah Governorate, in addition to preventing pollution of raw water sources. with sewage water.
The workshop recommended maintaining water security in Basrah Governorate through successful water management based on three points, making the most of the water feeding Basrah Governorate, optimal design for current and future water treatment projects, and recycling water from activities in Basrah.
