The President of the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazem, visited the College of Engineering, where he was received by the Dean of the College of Engineering, Professor Dr. Mufid Turki Rashid, the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Sarmad Abdullah Abbas, the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, Dr. Adeed Habib Taha, and the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Mounir. Abdul Jalil and the Head of the Architectural Engineering Department, Dr. Hamed Hayab Samir
The visit of the University President coincided with the visit of a delegation from the Al-Nahrain Network, affiliated with the University College London, Department of History. The President of the University met with the Director of the Al-Nahrain Network, Dr. Eleanor Robson, and during the meeting, topics related to visual heritage and the mechanism of advancement in visual architecture were discussed. The Director of the Al-Nahrain Network also presented a book she had written to the President of the University.
