A teacher from the College of Engineering at the University of Basra receives letters of thanks and appreciation from the Ministry of Defense and the Naval Academy

Dr. Imad Abdel Kadhim Khayoun, a lecturer at the College of Engineering, University of Basra, received letters of thanks and appreciation presented by the Minister of Defense, Thabet Muhammad Saeed, as well as a letter of thanks and appreciation presented by the Arabian Gulf Academy for Maritime Studies for the design of a multi-degree-of-freedom robotic arm system that classifies samples according to color and weight. This application is used to sort samples in production lines in factories and in the automobile industry, at docks and ports, goods are received and sorted by type by providing them with additional sensors.
This technology can also be used in welding metals, and it is of great benefit in transporting equipment to and from dangerous places. It also reduces the need for human labor. Using this technology extends working hours and reduces costs. They can also be used at guard points after providing them with appropriate cameras.
It is possible to apply this technology in engineering workshops to transport and sort samples Controlling the movement of surveillance cameras at checkpoints and guarding. It can also be used to control the automatic weapon at guarding points in dangerous places.
It is possible to use and develop this idea to control the transportation and sorting of materials in ships.
