The College of Engineering team won the Basra University President’s Cup five-a-side football championship over the College of Administration and Economics team with a score of 5-4 to win the championship title for the first time. The final match was held at the College of Science stadium at the Karma Ali site. The match witnessed the presence of a large number of students and college deans. The championship cup was handed over by the Dean of the College of Engineering, Professor Dr. Mufid Turki Rashid. In terms of individual awards, the player from the College of Engineering, Ali Hassan Sabah, won the title of top scorer in the tournament.
