The College of Engineering at the University of Basrah held a workshop (How to obtain the DOI lecture identification number)

The workshop dealt with an introductory explanation of DOI which is a series of numbers, letters and symbols used to permanently identify and link to an article or document on the web. As the Social Security number for the article you are citing will always refer to that article. While the web address (URL) may change but the DOI will never change in the most recent articles published, the digital ID will be printed with the article itself, usually on the first page somewhere, or in the header or footer. The workshop also included introducing the steps for creating an identification number by registering on the website www.researchgate.net.
