Under the auspices of the President of the University of Basrah, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, and within the activities of the second cultural week between the University of Basrah and Ferdowsi University, and within the mechanism of cooperation, the College of Engineering at the University of Basrah hosted a delegation represented by the President of Ferdowsi University, Dr. Ahmed Thabit and Assistant President of the University for Scientific and Technology Affairs, Ridha Lutfi, were received by the Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Ramzy Salim Ali, in the presence of the President of the University of Basrah, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, where an introductory lecture was presented by Dr. Redha Lutfi, during which he spoke about Ferdowsi University and introduced the culture, literature and arts of the university
He also talked during it about ways to develop universities and what is the next generation of universities, and not to be traditional universities, but to be productive universities that enter the work and be part of the economy.
The aim of this visit is to strengthen the academic relationship between the two universities and exchange experiences and cultures according to a work plan that includes the exchange of teachers and supervisors of postgraduate students, joint publishing in scientific journals, and holding joint scientific and cultural conferences and seminars.
