The College of Engineering, University of Basra, signs a talent training and development agreement with the Chinese Petroleum Engineering and Construction Company (CPECC)

The College of Engineering at the University of Basra signed a talent training and development agreement, which took place between the Chinese Petroleum Engineering and Construction Company (CPECC) and the University of Basra (Faculty of Engineering) at the headquarters of CPECC in South Rumaila, in the presence of the Chinese side and representatives of the University of Basra, headed by the Dean of the College of Engineering, Professor Dr. Mufid. Turki Rashid, and a large number of media outlets, and during the opening ceremony, those in charge of the Chinese company confirmed that the program aims to develop young talents and enhance distinguished Iraqi capabilities through optimal cooperation in the educational field and the field of oil industries to advance education and industry. The program will include training a number of graduates with the aim of preparing them for the labor market and employing some of them annually in the company. Specialists and experts who attended the opening ceremony praised this step and promised it a mission to encourage the university’s outputs to increase capabilities and capabilities with the aim of entering the oil labor market after graduation. During the opening ceremony, a contract was signed with some graduates, in addition to mutual honors between the Chinese company and the College of Engineering at the University of Basra.
