The College of Engineering at the University of Basra received an official delegation from the Italian company Eni. The visit aimed to strengthen scientific and academic cooperation and expand partnerships between the two sides, serving the development of the engineering and environmental sectors in the governorate.

The meeting was also attended by a delegation from the College of Agriculture at the University of Basra. Discussions focused on prospects for joint cooperation in various fields, including environmental sustainability, energy, and ways to utilize engineering expertise and modern technologies to support vital projects.

The attendees emphasized the importance of developing joint programs and initiatives to support sustainable agriculture by adopting innovative engineering solutions that contribute to improving natural resource management, reducing environmental impacts, and enhancing agricultural production based on modern scientific principles.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the importance of continued communication and coordination between the College of Engineering, the College of Agriculture, and Eni was stressed, along with the need to develop future cooperation plans that contribute to sustainable development in Basra Governorate.
